Welcome to Pixbrooke Shetlands.  We are a small stud, based in Bedfordshire.

My name is Val.  I have been passionate about horses from a very young age when I dreamt of owning my own pony.  My parents eventually brought me a pony when I was eleven, where I fell off him and broke my leg three days later!!

I competed in gymkhana's, progressing to show jumping and cross country.  I then fell in love with Arabians and purchased a young filly foal, that got me into breeding and showing.  My precious mare 'Flirt' was with me for 32 years and I still miss her.

After having my family I yearned for equines again and thats when I brought a tiny miniature Shetland yearling filly as a companion to my daughter Becky's riding pony.

From that day we were smitten, and now some 10 years later we have over 30 ponies.  I run our little stud with my daughter Becky and youngest son Mike.  Our breeding policy is quality not quantity, and we breed a few foals each year.  They are handled and socialized from birth.

Some of our babies are offered for sale. They are all very precious to us and we are particularly careful about making sure they go to very good homes.  If you are interested in purchasing any please call and speak to us and ask any questions, we have plenty of time to discuss ponies with you.
